At Granny Dot's Country Spot guests will have a choice of 6 spacious double rooms. Five of the six rooms have comfortable king size beds, which is easy to convert into single beds, according to the needs of guests. One room has a double bed overlooking the beautiful scenic hills and garden. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, with all the necessary amenities.
The house offers a family apartment with two adjacent rooms, sharing a bathroom. This is ideal for a family of 4.
Two of the rooms also have the option of self catering and are fully equipped with everything you may need, including linen and towels.
All beds and linen are brand new, as the doors of the revamped Granny Dot's Country Spot only opened in February 2018, after renovations were done in January.
All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, flat screen TV's, the DSTV hotel bouquet, hairdryers, coffee making facilities and toiletries.
Every room has a patio, from where guests can enjoy the amazing surroundings.
Two of the rooms have cosy fire places for cold winter days.
Continental breakfasts and pre-booked dinners are enjoyed in a cosy dining room or on the sunny patio. In winter a log fire in the lounge welcomes guests in from the cold for friendly conversations with a glass of good wine in hand.

A spacious patio allows guests the opportunity to take in the spectacular views and fresh mountain air. Spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed with a bird's eye view. Every room has its own patio, from where the gardens and the spectacular view can be enjoyed.
For those who truly enjoy the outdoors, why not relax in the boma around a bush fire with a cold drink in hand? Braai facilities are available in the boma, as well as on almost every patio.
Continental breakfasts are included in the booking. Two course dinners @ R200 per person are available, but booking is essential.
Open wifi is available everywhere in the guest house. Cellular phone networks are not too trustworthy though. The DSTV hotel bouquet is available in all rooms. Cosy fire places are found in two of the rooms and in the lounge.
At Granny Dot's Country Spot the bird life is prolific and will give bird watchers enough to talk about. Small birds chirp away in the trees and gliding eagles might be spotted, searching for prey. Often we are lucky enough to hear the beautiful call of the fish eagle.
There are numerous species of small game in the area, which you might see, such as Limpopo bushbuck, duiker, samango monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, porcupines, bush pigs, civit cats, side striped jackals, white tailed mongooses and small and large spotted genets.
The area around Granny Dot's Country Spot is the ideal terrain for mountain bikers and cross country runners – just bring own bikes.
It is also a hiker's paradise, as you can walk down to the dam or simply hike on the farm roads, enjoying the scenery. The Rooikat Hiking Trail is also right next door in the Agatha forestry.
Our mountain views are perfect for artists and photographers.
If you only want total relaxation, then soak up the sun at the secluded pool and enjoy the spectacular view.
The area surrounding Granny Dot's Country Spot has many attractions and adventures to explore. Travellers can visit a berry farm, breath taking waterfalls, a farm where cheese are made, a beer brewery, hiking trails and 4x4 trails. Guests can explore the misty mountain peaks, large indigenous forests, the Magoebaskloof Canopy Tours, golf courses, wonderful scenic drives, nurseries and tea gardens. Other popular activities are biking, canoeing and fishing. Guests can visit a crocodile farm, the ancient cycads in Modjadji and the Kruger National Park is only 80 minutes away.
