Joshua Generation Church is a vibrant and diverse multisite church that meets across Southern Africa. Modelled after the early church in the book of Acts, we seek to live out authentic Christianity (Acts 2:42-47) as a family of believers, devoted to laying down our lives for God and for one another. When considering the question of who it is that God has called us to be in this place and at this time, we are reminded of Featherbed Bay in our Knysna estuary, a haven for storm-tossed sailors in the early history of Knysna. We believe that God is calling us to grow our church into a haven, where all people can find a safe harbour in which to recover from our often turbulent lives. As a harbour though, it is also a place from where we can reach out to others, to serve them.

I visited Pilgrim's Rest on Sunday. It was judged to be best town in Mpumalanga in the Kyknet Kwêla competition. It is really looking lovely again, houses painted, streets clean. Picnic area near bridge with neat lawn. I even saw a tourist bus. The lads who clean one's car without permission are a nuisance. Road going down from grasskop is ok, but road to Chrystal Springs Resort has some potholes when going up.
