· Panarotti’s (in Lifestyle Centre) will NOT be open on Christmas day, but on New Year’s Day you can go and have your favourite pizza or pasta with Sangria to accompany it. Make a timely reservation by calling 015-306 0597 or mail them on tzaneen@panarottis.co.za.

· Crawdaddy’s will NOT be open on Christmas Day. New Year’s Day offers the usual menu. Call 015 307 1555 for reservations.
 
· Tzaneen Country Lodge will have their popular buffet (with different dishes) on both days. For a pleasant drive out of town and a hearty meal compiled according to you choice, call 015 304 3290.
 
· If you have guests from out of town, the picturesque gardens and vistas at King’s Walden is a wise choice for a special day. They offer a three-course-meal on Christmas day for R280 per person. Dinner starts at 13:00, so a leisurely stroll through the gardens before settling down for a feast can be planned for 12:00-12:30.
 
· Magoebaskloof Rest Camp also boasts a breath-taking view, a beautiful meandering drive and a delightful spread on Christmas Day. Adults at R195 and children under 12 half-price for the meticulously prepared buffet. This is the one time in the year Christmas cake is proudly part of the dessert menu.
