The month that introduces Spring was celebrated joyously in our neck of the woods. The Magoebaskloof and Haenertsburg Spring Festival was attended, as usual, by not only locals, but also city dwellers who make their way here to relish in the bountiful beauty of blossoming azaleas, cherry trees and other seasonal flowers. The festival was from Saturday, 23 September at 09:00 till Sunday, 1 October at 16:00.

• The Tzaneen Agri Golf Tournament was on Friday, 6 October at Tzaneen Country Club at R2000.00 per team.
 
• The past weekend had about 20 motorbikes roaring in Magoebaskloof with the Warriors Bike Fest. Saturday night with a live band was well-attended.
