The Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre was established in 1991. Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured or poisoned animals. Amongst these are lions from an Egyptian circus, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, poisoned vultures, crowned eagles and other survivors. The Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre is the only facility in southern Africa to successfully breed the endangered crowned eagle, and they have bred and released over 150 serval cats into areas where they had become extinct.

Lekgalameetse Natuur Reservaat naby Trichardsdal. Die kampeer plek en badkamers is netjies en baie skoon. Slegs 1 pad vanaf naby Trichardsdal tot bo by Burgersford. Het slegs Zebras gesien maar geen Elande nie. Baie rustig en skoon.
 

Groot was my verbasing om te sien dat dit n dorpie in eie reg is, en nie net n kampeer plek soos wat ek gedink het toe ek die naam bord gesien het nie. 'n Pragtige dorpie met mooiste huise, restaurante, kwekery, kerk en Laerskool. Pragtige huise reg teenaan die mooiste berg.
 

The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve (KPNR) is one of the largest privately owned nature reserves in South Africa covering some 60 000 hectares and is part of the Greater Kruger National Park.. It is an entirely non-government organization involved in the full spectrum of Nature Conservation. Klaserie is a small town situated in the Limpopo province, on the R40, south of Hoedspruit. The Town's main tourist attraction is the Klaserie Nature Reserve. It is a privately owned nature reserve with a bushveld atmosphere, and forms part of the Great Kruger National Park.

The Echo Caves in Limpopo, South Africa, are set in Precambrian dolomite rock, which was first laid down about 3800 million years ago, when Africa was still part of Gondwana. The caves are considered some of the oldest in the world. There are a number of speleothem structures in the cave; two of these are hollow stalactites which when hammered create echoes audible throughout and even outside the caves, thus the name of the caves. The caves are over 40 km long; regular tours are available for about 2 km of the tunnels and chambers.

The Letsitele area is rich in its cultural history and has many attractions for the tourist to observe while passing through. At Letsitele, you will cross the Letaba River which provides water to one of the largest citrus areas in our country. The town of Letsitele is named after the Letsitele River. The word ‘Letsitele’ is derived from a Northern Sotho word meaning ‘valley of the dead’, which was relevant in the days when malaria was a deadly threat in the valley.

Gravelotte is 'n klein dorp in die ooste van die Limpopoprovinsie, Suid-Afrika, en lê omtrent halfpad tussen Tzaneen en Phalaborwa. Die geskiedenis van die dorp kan teruggevoer word na die Slag van Gravelotte tydens die Frans-Pruisiese oorlog van (1870–1871). Dragonder Fritz Reuter het 'n gelofte afgelê dat indien hy die geveg sou oorleef hy 'n sendeling sal word. Hy oorleef die slag en emigreer na die Transvaal waar hy die sendingstasie Medingen ongeveer 10 km noord van Duiwelskloof stig. Later het hy 'n plaas in die omgewing gekoop en dit Gravelotte genoem, na aanleiding van die geveg.

WILDLIFE IN THE CITY
 
Just a 10 minute drive from the city centre is the entrance to the Polokwane Game Reserve. Covering 3 250 hectares, this scenic reserve is one of the largest municipal reserves in South Africa.
