Arbeidsterapie se hoofdoel is om ‘n persoon se funksie in geheel te verbeter sodat ‘n persoon voldoende kan funksioneer in sy/haar alledaagse lewe, werk / skool en ontspanning.
 
Arbeidsterapeute maak gebruik van verskeie taakgerigte aktiwiteite en metodes om op ‘n wetenskaplike manier spesifieke doelwitte te bereik.
 
In my arbeidsterapiepraktyk behandel ek kinders en volwassenes na gelang van die probleem. Arbeidsterapie intervensie behels in diepte evaluasie en weeklikse opvolgbehandelingssessies .
 
In arbeidsterapie kan van die volgende hanteer word:
· Sensoriese integrasie / modulasie disfunksie
· Ontwikkelingsagterstande
· Skoolgereedheid
· Skolatiese probleme met lees, skryf, spelling
· Rehabilitasie

Ek het my B. Arbeidsterapie kwalifikasie in Junie 1995 voltooi. Ek begin my privaatpraktyk gedurende Aug 1995 in Phalaborwa, waar ek tans nog ‘n satelietpraktyk het. Ek is sedert 2005 in privaat praktyk in Letsitele.
 
Van my nagraadse kwalifikasie sluit in Sensoriese integrasie, Diploma in Beroepsrehabilitasie (Vocational Rehabilitation), Therapeutic Listening, WorkWell akkreditasie en TRE (Stress / trauma release exercises)
 
The main goal of Occupational Therapy is to improve a person’s global function in order for the person to sufficiently perform in his/her everyday living, work / school and leisure activities. Occupational therapists make use of a variety of activities and modalities in order to address problem areas scientifically in order to reach specific goals.
 
In my occupational therapy practice I treat children and adults according to the problem areas. Occupational therapy intervention consists of in dept evaluation and weekly follow-up treatment sessions.
 
In occupational therapy the following areas can be addressed:
· Sensory integration / modulation dysfunction
· Developmental delays
· School readiness
· Scholastic problems with reading, writing and spelling
· Rehabilitation
· Hand therapy
· Functional Capacity Evaluations
· Medico – legal assessments
 
I obtained my B. Occupational Therapy qualification in June 1995. I opened my private practice during August 1995 in Phalaborwa, where I still have a satellite practice. Since 2005 I have a private practice in Letsitele. Some of my the post graduate qualifications are Sensory Integration, Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Listening, WorkWell accreditation and TRE (Stress / trauma release exercises).
